FAIL

Today, I attempted to re-do a tank top I own just like Jessica did here.

I failed.

Not because the tutorial wasn't good or because the idea is impossible. It's a good tute and the idea is awesome. I just lack the sewing coordination to pull it off. In short, knit fabrics hate me and I hate them. I spent the better part of the day trying to make this work.

It didn't.

Normally, this would really bum me out. REALLY bum me out. But you know what? This time, I just sat back with the little ugly cut up tank top in my hand and just breathed. And I sat. And breathed. And then the Lord tapped me on the shoulder.

"Good thing I didn't ask you to re-do your waredrobe for Me, huh?"

Yup. That's right. Good thing re-doing tank tops is not something He's asked of me. Making quilts so we can wrap people in His Word and Presence? Yup. That He's shown me how to do and given me the inspiration and gifts for. Tank-tops. Not so much.

So, instead of feeling like a failure, I feel like me. Right where I should be. Doing exactly what I should be doing. Making quilts and playing with horrible knit fabrics on the side. Being able to laugh at my own mistakes.

Thank you Jesus.
He is good.
