Overnights #12

Here I am at work.
It's been a great night so far. I love the people I'm working with tonight. It's been busy, I have some really sick kiddos, but I like it that way. It definitely beats sitting around feeling sleepy all night.

I'm reading a Max Lucado book, and this is a great quote from it. The book is "When God Whispers Your Name".

"So, what do you think? What does God do when we are in a bind...He fights for us. He steps into the ring and points us to our corner and takes over...His job is to fight. Our job is to trust. Just trust. Not direct. Or question. Or yank the steering wheel out of His hands. Our job is to pray and wait. Nothing more is necessary. Nothing more is needed."

I love it.

I have been feeling the urge to simply pray more and more lately. There are so many things over which I have no control. Problems that I have no way to solve, fix, or quicken. I can only pray and believe with faith that God is in control.

It's a nice feeling.
